The Washington NPL, a member of the National Premier Leagues, has awarded six boys division championships at the conclusion of its fall season.

  • 13-U boys: Central Washington Soccer Academy ’06 Lackey
  • 14-U boys: Washington East SC Johnson
  • 15-U boys: Eastern Washington Surf SC ‘04
  • 16-U boys: Dragons FC ‘03
  • 17-U boys: Central Washington Soccer Academy ’02 Cuevas
  • 19-U boys: FC Mulhouse

Three of those teams – 15-U, 16-U and 17-U – have now qualified to the 2019 ENPL National Playoff, which will be held June 28-July 2 in Rockford, Illinois. The 13-U and 14-U boys winners move on to the National Cup XVIII Finals, to be hosted in Commerce City, Colorado, July 19-23. The 19-U champion competes in a national postseason division, held alongside during the 2019 ENPL National Playoff.

“We’re very excited for these teams, and we wish them continued success on the national level,” said Puget Sound Premier League President Stanley Holmes. “They have earned their opportunity to play against some of the best teams and clubs in the country.”

The Washington NPL concludes its girls schedule in the spring, and those champions will advance to the 2019 Girls NPL Finals, July 11-15 in Commerce City, Colorado.

These boys Washington NPL representatives at the 2019 ENPL National Playoff are mostly new faces to the national postseason. Last season, Central Washington Soccer Academy represented the Washington NPL with its ’02 Navy squad, and in summer 2019, the club will again send its ’02 Cuevas team to the next level.

For 15-U through 17-U qualifiers, the 2019 ENPL National Playoff is the first of a two-stage postseason with top teams advancing to the 2019 ENPL National Finals.

This is the second year of a collaboration between US Club Soccer and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), which has effectively elevated the youth boys soccer landscape and provided top competition, development and identification opportunities to NPLs and Boys ECNL Conferences throughout the country. The ENPL postseason also provides an ideal environment for college coaches to scout for potential additions to their programs.
